Jacob Saylor’s debut album available on iTunes and Amazon

Singer, songwriter Jacob Saylor is set to release his debut Album “Whattaya Say” digitally by ClouDaddy Records on March 13th, 2012. The title track of the album is featured in Garry Marshall’s star-studded film “New Year’s Eve” and also, on the equally star-studded soundtrack for the film. Without a studio release he had the track hand delivered to Garry Marshall who loved it and placed it in the film. As a relative unknown, Saylor found himself on an album with Pink, Lea Michele, The Goo Goo Dolls, and Jon Bon Jovi with an audience clamoring for more from the talented vocalist. With the help of producers Tom Korbee and Grammy winner Robb Vallier(Gin Blossoms, Spamalot, Goo Goo Dolls) And Executive Producer Brandon Ficara, Jacob recorded nine additional songs to join “Whattaya Say” and prove the depth of his talents.

“I Say Goodbye”, a bouncy uke driven pop song that has summer hit written all over it kicks off the album. The title track “Whattaya Say” is an emotionally inspiring love ballad that you may remember from the film “New Years Eve” when Sarah Jessica Parker and Josh Duhamel come together. From there the album moves through future pop hit “One Step” to inspiring and heart felt ”Start Over” and “Hold On” with an uncanny ease. Every great songwriter has a song inspired by New York and Saylor is no different with his moody, introspective “Hudson”.
The rockin’ track “Life Has Just Begun” Shows yet another genre that Saylor has mastered and continues with rock ballad “Fight For You”. To close out the album Jacob shows that at his core he is a balladeer with the hugely dramatic, “Still You Move On”and the delicate piano ballad ”Fly”.

With a wide vocal range and the genre jumping ability of Bruno Mars , Jacob Saylor is destined to make a big splash with “Whattaya Say”. The album will be available world wide on iTunes and Amazon March 13th.

Anand Vadehra is a bright, young, good man who developed a rare kind of Cancer while healing up from a shoulder surgery. I have had the privilege to get to know him as a co-worker and he has boundless enthusiasm for life and truly brightens the day of all those he encounters. His recent diagnosis and the subsequent pain he is experiencing have left him unable to work.

Imagine for a moment that you are in a fight for your life and health and have the added stress of financial uncertainty. I believe Anand will overcome this illness, but I also believe he needs our help. In a recent phone call I asked him if it would be alright if I did a benefit show for him. His gratitude was off the charts. This is not a man who would ever be in need if not for this disease. I try to put myself in his shoes and I can only hope that the people who know me would rally around me in a time of dire need. I am reaching out to all of the wonderful people who I believe I could count on. Even if you don’t know Anand you know me and I would consider it a personal favor if you could help me to help Anand. By alleviating some of Anands financial stress we, as a community, will allow him to focus on the positive emotions that will allow him to win this fight.

Here’s what we can do. With the help of Will Flowers and The Mint we have set up a fund raiser to assist Anand financially on October 23rd. Come out for an all star line up as a portion of every ticket goes in cash to Anand. This, however, is not going to be enough to substantially help Anand as the space at the club is limited. I am asking you to also bring a recommended donation of $20 that will all go to Anand. Please don’t be discouraged if your own financial situation makes this request difficult to fulfill. Any donation will surely help and no amount is too small. I will also be setting up an online donation forum for those around the country who can not make the event. It is with a very humble heart that I ask you to join me as a community and offer what we can to help my friend.

Halloween alone can make October a pretty good month to laugh. There’s nothing quite like seeing Bill from Accounting dressed in drag with a cigar hanging out of his mouth. Batman throwing up in the bushes is always good for a chuckle. It’s been a couple of thousand years since anyone actually needed to learn how to wrap a toga to get ready for work in the morning, so this can result in a lot of ‘WHOOPS!’ moments ranging from tragic to hilarious. While all of these things can help fill the laugh tank, let’s be honest, hostile takeover of a holiday meant for children can wind up being kind of sad. Adding booze helps, but only to get that image of the frontal bulge in the leather mini-skirt out of your head. Face it, Zorro, Cleopatra ain’t buying what you’re selling and you’re gonna end up home alone with your sword in your hand. Again. Why wait until the end of the month for hilarity and mirth? You can have all of the laughs you want all month long. While the weather is cooling off, Brandon is heating up with a busy month of stand up. Here’s the lineup:

Brandon just received word that he will be playing rebellious cabbie Richard ‘Dick’ Hertz in the upcoming sequel to the acclaimed and beloved DC Cab*. He will be the wise-cracking sidekick of Samson (Mr. T) who now owns the Taxi service and must defend it against a horde of blood-thirsty zombie clones (all played by Dane Cook.)
